An overview of what has happened

Today the army returned but it was only a small fraction compared to the number that Pharaoh had taken with him. Where did they all go? Are they going to come back? I have heard a story that the army had finally caught up to Moses and the Israelites when they were crossing a sea. But they were not crossing on boats… they were walking across. I heard that the sea had parted for them to walk across to the other side. Pharaoh sent the army to follow them across the sea but right when the last Israelite got across and stepped on the shore on the other side of the sea, the wall of water collapsed on to the army. It destroyed them all…

He's out for blood

Again Pharaoh has changed his mind and this may be the last time. I think that he is going to kill Moses when he catches up to him and the Israelites in the wilderness. He has taken with him a large amount of the army. I think that he means to destroy all of them. He was so driven by rage when he left on his chariot.

They may finally leave

Last night in the middle of the night Moses and Aaron were summoned by Pharaoh. He told him to take his people and leave Egypt. I couldn’t believe it. He also asked that Moses bless him. He is so emotionally distraught over the loss of his son.

They are all Dead!!

This is terrible! Every first born child is dead!!! I can’t believe what I am seeing.  Last night, to celebrate something the Israelites call the Passover, all of the Israelites put the blood of a lamb over their doorways.  I thought this was really strange at the time but now it seems like somehow that has protected them.  Not a single one of their children has been harmed.  Even Pharaoh’s oldest son has died.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he kills Moses and Aaron and maybe a couple more Israelites for good measure.  

Time for a Nap

Now it is darkness. This is ridiculous. I can’t even see my hand in front of my face. Well, on the bright side, I don’t have very much work to do since no one can see anything. I will probably try to catch up on some sleep while I can. The last couple of these plagues have left me very sleep deprived. There is no way Pharaoh is going to let them go right now.

They are eating all the food

Ok, enough with the bugs.  They keep getting bigger and bigger and frankly I am scared of what size bug might come up next.  Whatever the hail didn’t destroy in the fields, these locusts are sure to do.  I have heard that they have been eating everything that is possible to eat.  When are these going to end!  I just want things to go back to normal.
